Navigating casual dynamics
I’ve recently broke up. And I’m trying to date people casually but I’m very confused with how men date casuallly ..I’m an attractive women and I know if I wanted I can have sex with people everyday, obviously not what I want to do for obvious reasons ( STI, time consuming).
I’m trying to have maybe 2 FWB and keep it drama free, a bit of text messages but not every day and some aftercare. Staying the night is fine as long as things stay respectful after.
I had sex 1 time since and after sex I’ve asked him “what’s your definition of casual?” To what he answered “no texting and seeing each other one time a month”. I’m leaving in less than two months so I’ve explicitly said that I want something more spontaneous and backed up with a bit more texting to what he said “ok let’s see each other again”.
I thought he agreed to this term.
We met through the app so after this meeting I send him the usual “ had a great night, here’s my number”.
And he just never texted me again it’s been 2 days. I’m very confused because even if he didn’t want to see me again, just be honest.
He was being very emotionally intense during the date and thought he was genuinely into me so I find it a bit odd.
How to navigate this casual dating things, are people playing roles all the time?
