New Catholic Questions

So I'm just recently getting into Catholicism, I never grew up in a religious household and so I never picked it up from childhood like a lot of people do, I've had a latent interest in the church for a while but never did much about it, I attended church a handful of times but always felt lost on my own. However this year I really want to get into my faith but I'm still so lost on what to do, there seems to be so many unspoken rules that everyone knows in church and the pastor of my church is always so busy talking to people after that I don't want to bother him anymore and the cathedral is only open during specific hours usually ending right after mass. I'm just wondering if theres some good guide or maybe someone who'd be willing to add me on socials or something to help guide me through the process, thank you!

So I'm filling out this scrapbook, it has 55 pages, and so far Ive filled in 11. But I'm beginning to worry the pages are getting too thick and it won't hold up properly. This is a gift for someone and I already have all the pages planned so simply taking pages out won't work (unless I absolutely have to I suppose). Here is what the book looks like with 11/55 pages filled, do you guys think it might hold up? Even if by the end I'm going to have to get some kind of clasp or glue a ribbon to it to tie it closed that's fine, I just worry the spine will break before I'm able to finish it. This is my first time filling out a whole book like this, but I've done plenty of scrapbooking so this is a little out of my range of knowledge, thanks!
