Senior year is my last chance to enjoy A&M
Howdy y’all,
I’m going into my senior year at A&M, and I really want it to be the best year I’ve had here, or at least the first year where I feel like I’m not constantly creating stress for myself.
To be honest, a lot of my college stress has come from procrastination, overthinking, bad habits, and waiting until things get overwhelming before I actually deal with them. I feel like I’ve missed opportunities, strained friendships, struggled with club responsibilities, and lost a lot of peace of mind by putting things off, avoiding hard conversations, or not staying on top of things until it’s already a crisis.
I also have a pretty big course load this year, so I know I can’t just “wing it” and hope everything works out. I want to actually enjoy senior year, be more responsible, build better routines, keep up with school, strengthen friendships, meet people, go to events, and leave feeling like I made the most of my time here.
For anyone who has dealt with procrastination, anxiety, bad habits, or a heavy course load in college: what actually helped you turn things around? How did you balance academics with still having a life? What routines, systems, campus resources, mindset shifts, or “don’t do what I did” advice would you give?
I’d also love recommendations for Aggie traditions/events worth prioritizing senior year, especially ones that helped you feel more connected to A&M before graduating.
Thanks and gig ’em :)
