Askibng for shop critique — 2 weeks in and looking for feedback

Hi everyone! I opened my Etsy shop about two weeks ago, and I’m looking for some honest feedback on what I could improve. I sell printable Christian/Bible study resources, primarily designed to help people spend more intentional time studying and applying Scripture.

I’m still very new to this Etsy thing, so I know there are probably things I’m overlooking. I’d especially appreciate feedback on these parts of my shop:

  1. Do my listing photos and thumbnails clearly communicate what the customer is actually getting? Are there any changes you would make to the way I present the digital products?
  2. Does my overall shop/listing SEO seem strong enough? I’d appreciate any feedback on my titles, tags, descriptions, or keywords that could help my products reach the right audience. This is one area I especially, do not know how to improve.
  3. What avenues of marketing have you found to be most successful? I am struggling in this area. I have tried a little on Pinterest. Are there other free avenues that I could take to market my product and drive more traffic to my etsy shop?

What inspired you to create this shop?

I wanted to create practical tools that encourage people to spend more intentional time in God's Word. There are a lot of Christian printables available, but I wanted to focus on simple resources that are actually useful during personal Bible study rather than making products that are primarily decorative. I also noticed that products in this area on etsy were largely AI generated which made me sad, so part of this was a desire to see more human-designed products on the market.

What research have you already done on your shop prior to opening? What is something you learned from that research?

Before opening, I spent quite a bit of time looking through other Etsy shops selling Bible study printables and similar Christian resources. I looked at their listing photos, product formats, titles, keywords, pricing, and how they organized their shops. I've also watched several youtube videos. One thing I learned was that having a good product is only part of the equation. The listing needs to clearly communicate the value of the product and make it easy for someone to understand what they're getting.

Here is my shop: https://stongholdpaperco.etsy.com

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take the time to look through it. I’m mainly looking for constructive criticism so I can make the shop better while it’s still new.

What has actually helped you memorize Scripture?

I've been trying to become more intentional about Scripture memorization, and I've realized that there's a big difference between reading a verse repeatedly and actually getting it into your heart and mind.

For me, writing the passage out, breaking it into smaller sections, practicing it without looking, and coming back to it over several days has been much more effective than simply rereading it.

I've been curious what has worked for other people here.

Do you:

  • Write verses out repeatedly?
  • Use flashcards?
  • Memorize entire passages?
  • Recite Scripture throughout the day?
  • Use music or other memory techniques?
  • Have a particular system that has helped you stay consistent?

Part of why I'm asking is that I've been creating printable Bible study resources around some of these practices through my small business, Stronghold Paper Co. I recently made a Scripture Memory Sheet specifically to give this process more structure.

I'm trying to build resources that are genuinely useful rather than just making pretty printables. If you'd like to take a look, you can find the Scripture Memory Sheet and my other Bible study resources here:

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who actually practice Scripture memorization. I'm still developing these resources, so feedback on what has worked for you—or what you wish you had—would be really helpful.

What has worked best for you when memorizing Scripture?

I made a Bible study worksheet to help me slow down and actually process what I'm reading

I've been working on a simple Bible study worksheet because I've found that sometimes I'll read a passage, understand what it's saying, and then move on without really taking the time to think through how it connects to the gospel, how I should respond, or what I should pray.

So I put together a one-page worksheet with sections for:

  • Prayer
  • Observations
  • Notes & Insights
  • Gospel Connection
  • Application
  • Memory Verse
  • Prayer & Reflection

The goal was to keep it simple enough that I would actually use it regularly, rather than creating a huge worksheet that feels like homework.

I'm curious what other people think: What do you personally find most helpful to include when you're studying a passage of Scripture? Is there anything you would add or remove from a worksheet like this? Are there other printables that you would like to see designed in this style?

I've actually just opened a small Etsy shop where I'm making Bible study and Scripture journaling tools like this so that I can support my family while in full time ministry at a church, so I'm also trying to learn what people actually find useful rather than just making things I think people will like.

If you'd like to see the finished version, it's available here: https://stongholdpaperco.etsy.com

I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback—even if you wouldn't personally use something like this. I'm still very new to this!
