My mother is flying BOS–LAX with my husband for a move into memory care near us. Her CT driver’s license expired less than 2 years ago and renewing in person would be very difficult. We understand TSA has identity verification procedures and we’ve already enrolled in Confirm ID.

Has anyone successfully traveled domestically in a similar situation, and are there additional documents that were helpful to bring? We currently have her expired license, Medicare card, prescriptions, and utility bills.
