RT or nursing- career advice

Seeking career advice. I’m on the pre-requisite portion of my education. I originally was working towards being an RT, and at the end of July I’ll be done with pre-requisite and only need to take my entrance exam to get into my schools RT program. I have a 4.0 gpa.
However, Im so conflicted between RT and nursing. So much so that I added two more classes to my school plan so I’ll be able to apply for nursing as well(I have all my prerequisite for RT done but need two more to apply for nursing)
So my question is, should I pursue nursing or RT? My husband is pushing towards RT heavily. Prior to the military he was paramedic and had friends go on to become an RT. RT was actually his goal but then he enlisted. I’m just stuck on the fact that nursing has far more opportunities, yet I know it comes with far more BS. Would love any and all advice!

Car loan

We filed chapter 7 a few months ago, had our 341 in May. Should be discharged by August.
I’m pregnant with our 3rd and we need a bigger car. My husband surrendered his truck but I kept my Mazda. Payments are current. It’s just too small. I want to wait until around January 2027 to get a bigger vehicle - what’s the best path post bankruptcy? Any banks or credit unions that would give me a loan so I’m not walking into a dealership or used car lot totally dependent on their finance team? Any advice appreciated- thank you!

Pregnant with my 3rd

Talk to me mommas! Pregnancy and motherhood has not come easy to me. A Miscarriage that put me in the hospital with my first pregnancy, my second baby died after birth due to a very rare medical condition. My third pregnancy gave me my first healthy baby, my son who is now 7. Then my fourth pregnancy gave me my daughter who was diagnosed at birth with Hirchsprungs- a rare medical disease. She’s 5 now and doing great! But the journey with her health has been HARD. It’s still not easy, but getting better. I actually SWORE I was done having kids. Too much trauma, too much
Medical hardship. I even went back to school.
However, certain things had me feeling like maybe in my heart of hearts I wasn’t done. And then my husband and I had a real heart to heart, and well here we are. Im pregnant . Im terrified for another health complication, but im mostly very excited to grow our family. My kids are over the moon! Their ages make this even sweeter. I’d love to hear any advice or stories of families like mine. I just want to connect with moms of kids that have bigger age gaps or even medical issues that almost scared you out of having more kids.

Best school for my degree?!

Hi guys. I’m struggling to make the right choice for my education! Background: I’m a 31 year old mom, still growing our family. I was originally working on my prerequisites to start a respiratory therapy program in October. However, my husband and I have decided we’re not done having kids(currently have two school aged kiddos) my husband is active duty army. I also attended another online college years ago so In total I’ve completed: English 1, psychology, a humanities class(forget the name) college algebra, chemistry & lab, anatomy 1 &2 with labs, biology with lab and microbiology with lab.
Now that I’ve decided to have kids again, I’m pulling back from a healthcare job that requires clinicals and in person classes. I’ve switched to thinking about a BS in healthcare administration.
Now my biggest questions is: do I attend a school like UCF(I’m still a resident of Florida) who offers a fully online healthcare administration degree WITH an internship (this is a big draw for me) which will take me longer and be more expensive than going to WGU. A fully online school based on competency and can be completed much faster and cheaper.
Please give me all pros and cons!! I’m blessed that along with financial aid, I do qualify for a military spouse scholarship that covers a good amount of tuition for a four year degree.

Possible need to pause schooling

Has anyone had a baby in the middle of the program? I’m finishing up my last two prerequisites this July. I’ll apply to the program in October and class starts January 2027. The thing is, I may be pregnant. I don’t want to wait an entire year and some change to apply for the program. My school only admits once a year. But I’m not sure how I would handle needing to miss a few weeks of class. Any advice is appreciated!

Finished 341

Relief! Even though I’ve read through tons of encouraging posts about the 341 meeting being easy- I was still a bundle of nerves this morning. We filed on May 8th, had our meeting today, June 11th. Chapter 7, we own a rental, have raw land, and are keeping 1 vehicle. The only different questions we were asked aside from the easy “yes & no’s”, was about our rental property and land. Trustee asked” what’s your plan for it” (the house) and I simply answered it’s a rental, it has no equity, and we may move back to that state due to my husband’s job. He then moved onto the raw land, I answered it’s just a piece of raw land we co-own. He also asked about two properties we’ve bought/sold back in 2019&2022. After that it was back to the easy yes and no questions. No creditors showed up. Total time was maybe 5 minutes on camera speaking. Our lawyer said we should receive our discharge in 60 days. I cannot wait. My family feels relief, lightness, and hope for the future. Good luck to everyone out there!

Looking ahead, rebuilding credit

Our meeting is June 11th for a Chapter 7. Assuming all goes well, I want to start a plan to rebuild credit. We’re burning Wells Fargo, & Amex as far as credit cards go. And then US Bank, ENT credit union & TD auto finance.
What’s the best plan for credit post bankruptcy? We’d like to buy a house in 5 years once my husband’s military contract is up.
We are keeping a home we currently own that is a rental. It’s essentially “underwater” with 0 equity so I’m confident we’ll keep it. We’ve got a good tenant and our plan is to move back there in 3 years then sell. Would love any and all advice on how to get ourselves in a good credit position again. Thank you!

Filed Chapter 7 today

After much back and forth to get our net monthly income minus monthly expenses down to $0, my lawyer finally was able to file today. I feel relived. There’s only one area we are concerned about: raw undeveloped land(2.6 acres) owned 50/50 between my husband and MIL. All equity no debt on this property. Zillows values it at $35,000 but no land has sold in that area for over a year. It has absolutely nothing on and is way out in the woods. Our lawyer doesn’t think the trustee will go after it because half the sale would go to my MIL, and my husband gets to protect $10,000 of his portion. So that leaves hardly any money left over. Anyone been in this situation? We’re prepared either way. The over $100,000 in debt is far more important to discharge.
