Hypothetical trade of the second overall with the Canucks

I know the status quo, and likely best, answer is to take the best overall player at and don't over think it. This is true, and that would likely be Stenberg. At the same time, the Sharks have tons of wingers, and with Smith already being great, Eklund and Chernyshov developing nicely, and Musty and Halttunen and others in the pipeline the winger positions are already covered.

If the Canucks would agree to this, and I don't think they would, but if they would, what would people think of a trade of the 2nd overall for the 3rd overall and Hronek with, or without, the Wild pick as well?

What I see with this current draft is its D heavy. There will be plenty of D options in the lower parts of the first round and early second round. Reid would be available at third most likely (and if not that means the Canucks took him in which case you get Hronek and Stenburg), Villeneuve likely will be available with the Wild pick and someone like Piiparinen or another right shot D also could be available later in the draft, and then you have upgraded your defense massively without having to give up on Eklund or someone else (Stenburg likely would take Eklunds job).

Obviously I know the logic behind take the best player available, but also true high end D men as hard to find, and if Hronek, who is not that old, would be on the market, I would not see that as a bad trade at this time.

Im probably stupid though, so Reddit can educate me :p
