Call centre employees are incredibly stupid.

The chip on my credit card never worked when I got it, but that’s fine because I always tap. The tap stopped working too, so I called to get a new card sent out. Sounds pretty simple right?

The call centre employee surprisingly spoke very good English, but I still explained very clearly: “The tap and chip don’t work on my visa card anymore and I just need a new one sent to me”.

He then asked me if I tried changing my PIN.

I said no, why would I do that?

He said that sometimes transactions will fail because your PIN became invalid.

Like, I can’t even get to my fucking PIN. The tap and chip don’t work.

I had to say the exact same thing to him two or three more times for him to understand. I honestly don’t know what I could have said to make it more clear. A call that should have taken under a minute went on for far too long.

Like where do they find these idiots?
