Ive heard shampooing daily is extremely bad for your hair. The products I use I hear is not washable with just water and using conditioner only can lead to buildup as well?

I mainly use Gatsby Pink hairwax but have slowly stopped using that daily because I hear its not possible to remove without shampoo. Switched over to L3 Level 3 Black Texture powder but now hearing differing answers as to whether that is washable with just water. Google claims Slick Gorilla Hair Styling Powder is easy to wash out? Anyone have experience with these products and how do you wash out product without damaging your hair?
