Had my first 2000pt game with fully painted TK army.
Got my ass handed to me as usual but its great to see two painted armies going at it.

A friends birthday is coming up and although he isnt very enthusiastic about 40k he's a major war history buff so I reckon I can rope him into tabletop games with a more historical game, so obviously landed on Achtung Panzer/bolt action (also selfishly because i've really wanted to get into it myself). Was doing a bit of research and decided to go with those tanks because apparently they're fairly evenly matched and we can play a little 1v1 Achtung Panzer over a few beers when we chill in his garden, then potentially move to bolt action if he likes it and wants to expand to infantry (if not then it'll just join the samurai above his desk I painted for him last year!).
I've heard its possible but Im just wondering how a 1v1 AP game would realistically work? Is it worth ommitting some rules/features of the game when you first dip your toe in? Just to make it a little smoother? I dont want to scare him away, he showed interest in Imperial Guard (40k) then I think it was the overwhelming rules which made him nope out of it so would rather keep it light and minimally taxing and perhaps introduce things in subsequent games.
I guess he's an Orator, thats what Tome Keepers call their Chaplains.
Just noticed I forgot to pigment powder his feet 🥲
Top shelf is also magnetised but not enough units to fill it up, so for now its where the dice and tape measure etc live. I want to add a leather strap across the top to get it out of the box a little easier, otherwise pretty happy with it. I think the record case has great character and lends itself to the job well.
Not 100% on the base. When in doubt; more pigment powder and skulls.
