Advice on spilled wax

Advice on spilled wax

Hi, I inherited a Lane burlwood cabinet, but the top had red wax spilled on it at one point. Whatever was sitting on top of the veneer has been scraped off, and I tried putting paper towels and a paper bag on top while running an iron over it to remove remaining wax, but that didn’t do much. Any advice?

EDIT - Claude told me to try denatured alcohol. That and a fine steel wool did the trick!

Reluctantly trying to become better versed in AI

  1. What are you using AI for in your role?
  2. What online courses have you found helpful? I’m starting on some from Anthropic since we are going to be getting Cowork soon.

Thanks!

New to flipping

I am just getting into furniture flipping to expedite a few of my financial goals and because homeownership is expensive!! I flipped a few nightstands before this set that I’m posting here, and I used Benjamin Moore Advance paint on those, but the recoat time and cure time are soooo long. Now I’ve switched to Sherwin Williams Gallery Series and I LOVE it. 45 minutes recoat time and only a day or two of cure time. This flip went so much faster and looks so much better.
