Keyboard for work and gaming / Keychron Q6 HE 8k, alternatives?

Hello fellow input-device enthusiasts,

I’m currently looking for a new keyboard and came across the Keychron Q6 HE 8K. It seems to have pretty much everything I need or want.

I’d mainly use it for work/programming/gaming.

What I’m looking for:

- Hall Effect switches with Rapid Trigger

- 100% or 98% layout (for example like the Q5)

- Aluminum case

- 8K polling rate

- iso de layout

- price isn’t that important to me, I’m willing to spend a bit more for good quality. After all, I sit at it for more than 10 hours almost every day.

Wireless isn’t a must for my use case, it would just be a nice bonus.

Some fancy, but nice caps would be bonus too. Somehow I like the Developer Kexcap Set from Keychron for example. But I think they aren't shine-through.

Is shine-through a must have or are the south facing leds good enough?

So, the downsides I see with the Keychron are mainly the price and the fact that I’d (maybe) need to buy additional shine-through keycaps.

Whether I’d also need a wrist rest is something I’d decide once I actually have the board.

Additional I don't have any experience with Keychron. I just used Razer(they sucked the most), Logitech, Roccat and Corsair in the past.

Are there any good alternatives?

Would I be better off, performance-wise or price-wise, with a custom build? I have basically no experience with custom keyboards though.

Thanks in advance!
