Bought this 3 years ago. Its my second mechanical keyboard. I like that its heavy, has web-based software and the clicks are way more quiet than my previous 30$ keyboard which i even bought rubber O rings to try and make it less noisy
Model dark project one 87 night sky
Anyone has this keyboard what do you like and dont like about it?
My wife has decided that she wants this old HP keyboard. It is literally the oldest in my sort of sizeable collection. I have no idea why she chose this one, but I guess I better figure out the best way to get these keys off of here so I can clean this mess up.
I would love any tips y'all might have. I have always just bought a new one in the past.
Thanks everyone
can anyone identify what switch this is? i bought it at a random physical computer shop and they didnt have the specifics. its a silent linear switch that i think is from outemu, but ive searched online and cant find anything similar. thanks!
Hi guys. I'm a left-handed professional 3D artist who also loves playing competitive FPS games.
For years, I've struggled to find the perfect keybinds for each game, especially Apex Legends and Marvel Rivals. So, I decided to look into ergonomic keyboards designed for left-handed players.
After doing a lot of research, I discovered that there aren't many gaming keyboards specifically designed for left-handed players.
Since I love playing multiple FPS games, I decided to create a universal keyboard that works with the default keybinds in every game, essentially eliminating the need to find the optimal keybinds for each one.
The design leans into the natural flow of the fingers, reducing the chances of pressing the wrong keys while under pressure.
It's still a work in progress. I've completed the full concept, but it now needs to be fully designed from scratch. I'll be making a personal prototype, but I'd love to know if this something other left-handed players would love to have?
I heard that gasket mount is not really good at monsgeek. If someone has tested both, can you give your opinion? What feels better? Where build quality is better? Is 128KHz important on Epomaker?
Or recommend other 75% or tkl magnetic keyboard up to 120€ with gasket mount, aluminum case and just good quality overall.
I want to buy silent he switches for MonsGeek M3 V5 HE.
Can you tell what are the best options?
I was looking at:
- Gateron Jade Silent
- Gateron Genty Silent
- Off studio x tnt six realms (both 30g and 40g versions)
- NDIY Freya
- Haimu Dove V2
I need a really stable silent he switch with less wobble possible and good rgb support.
I'm looking for a keyboard that can dynamically change the letters displayed on the keys based on the active language being typed. For example, with my current setup if I switch from English to Hebrew the letters naked to the keyboard change but the keyboard still shows English letters. The current "solution" to this problem is to purchase stickers that show the English and Hebrew characters on one sticker.
But what if I also need to type in Russian and Arabic? There are limited to how many letters you can put on a sticker 😅. What I'm looking for is a keyboard that will change the letter displayed on the keyboard key automatically based on there current language selected on the computer.
Does such a thing exist?
hi ! im dreaming of this keyboard or something similar if you have any recommendation of keycaps or keyboard this would help me so much !! (plsss budget friendly lmao)
For 15 years I used this Apple membrane keyboard (Scissor), and as you can see in this photo, it's like new... but I got bored and wanted to try other types of keyboards. There are definitely many options (mechanical, HE, optical, and capacitive).
If you were in my situation... which one would you try first and why?
Pretty self explanatory, I live in a tiny room and my keyboard can be heard from outside my door. It’s bothering my parents and so I’ve seen a ton of posts about this but maybe this can also help others if needed as an updated one.
I’m looking for a tenkeyless keyboard (my desk is small) or something around there, I don’t use the num pad enough to need it. I’ll be playing games like cs, apex, etc.
My budget would be 100 dollars but can be flexible up to 150 if it’s really that needed. I know there are keyboards you can build or just swap the keys but even then, im a dumbass so keeping it simple would be better but I’m not against just buying a keyboard and swapping the caps for silent ones (idk which ones are good). Some lighting on the keyboard would be nice since ill be playing at night and that’s really the main things I need. I can do wired or wireless, that doesn’t matter for me. Thanks for the recommendations!
I have been in the keyboard world for a short time (a couple of months) and I have been able to try keyboards with ANSI, ISO-ES, 75%, 60%, 65%, 96%, 100% layouts, etc., but I had never heard of ortholinear keyboards. I decided to try it and it has definitely been quite a challenge that I still haven't managed to overcome 😅
Were you familiar with ortholinear keyboards... have you tried them?
hi! i’m interested in getting a new full size keyboard with the num pad but have no clue where to start. i currently have a very loud “clacky” sounding keyboard that gets quite annoying. i work from home so i use it a minimum of 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. i’m looking for something a bit quieter but not silent. tiktok has taught me im a fan of the “thocky” sounds. does anyone have any advice on where to get one without breaking the bank??
Ajazz vs Dareu vs Aula which one should i go for? I am looking to buy a HE keyboard and these are the only ones available in my region.
second time that an led is being this wierd, first time it just got away (razer blackwidow chroma v1)
I am currently in a market for my first hall effect keyboard. I have HyperX mechanical keyboard and every now and then I have troubles with double typing, so I want to find something good.
I would like it to be 75%, 80%, 82% or 86% layout, prefferably in black or white color, or combination of those two.
Please recommend me something good. Also, easiest way for me to order it is maxgaming so it would be perfect if they have it in stock. I am looking at Pulsar PCMK 2 HE, it's around 120$ on maxgaming. What are your opinions on that keyboard?
I own several mechanical keyboards, but recently, many of the new releases have been pretty boring to me, even though getting a nice mechanical keyboard has been easier and cheaper than ever before. That’s what initially pushed me into looking at low-profile keyboards, as they look and feel very different from a high-profile mechanical keyboard. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a creamy and thocky high-profile keyboard, I just wanted to try something a little different.
After a month of watching low-profile keyboard reviews, I ended up choosing to buy the NuPhy Air75 V3 with Blush Nano switches.
The Air75 V3 has a clean design with enough personality to avoid looking generic. The colorful accent keycaps add some nice visual pop, while the clear lettering and aluminum bezel keep it clean.
The lower case is plastic, but it doesn’t feel cheap. The keyboard feels sturdy but not unnecessarily heavy. A full aluminum case would feel more premium, but the current construction strikes a good balance between weight and build quality.
I also ended up preferring the taller knob. The low-profile knob would be ideal for traveling inside a bag, but I found it awkward to rotate with one finger, and pinching it with two fingers often caused my fingers to hit against the neighboring keys. The taller knob is much more practical for adjusting volume or other controls.
This was my first low-profile keyboard, but I was able to adapt to the shorter travel distance much faster than I expected. I reached my usual typing speed without much trouble, and the PBT keycaps are made of high quality plastic and feel good to type on.
The Blush Nano silent linear switches are quiet and have a deep, thumpy sound. The gasket mount, polycarbonate plate, foam, and pads help produce a softened typing experience without noticeable metallic ping.
The bottom-out feel is slightly mushy. Personally, I ended up enjoying it, but I can see why some people would dislike it. The switches are also not equally smooth. Some feel noticeably smoother than others, which makes the overall experience less consistent.
The stabilizers are generally well lubed, although my spacebar still has a small amount of rattle even after I added dielectric grease. I probably will have to do other mods to it like the Holee Mod or Band-Aid Mod.
The keyboard supports Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and wired USB-C connections. All three have worked reliably for me, and I haven’t experienced any connection or latency problems during gaming or regular use. Battery life has been excellent with the RGB lights turned off.
The browser-based NuPhyIO software has also been smooth and easy to use. Rebinding keys, updating the drivers, and customizing the lighting were all straightforward. I’m not a power user in this area though, so I can’t say whether it would satisfy someone who prefers VIA or QMK.
I’d recommend the NuPhy Air75 V3 with the Blush Nanos to someone who wants a quiet, comfortable low-profile keyboard with reliable wireless connectivity, strong battery life, and a design that looks clean and not too flashy.
I’d be more cautious about recommending it to anyone who strongly prefers near-perfect switch smoothness and consistency, shine-through keycaps, or advanced VIA/QMK customization. In that case, it may be worth looking at low-profile keyboards that use the Kailh low-profile switches, such as some Lofree and IQUNIX boards. I would love to try some of these in the future.
For anyone interested, I wrote a more detailed version of this review on Substack and Medium, but I’m happy to answer some questions you may have about the keyboard here too.
Have you used the NuPhy Air75 V3 or another low-profile keyboard? Did you enjoy the shorter travel and softer bottom-out of the Blush Nano switches, or do you prefer the feel of a traditional mechanical keyboard?
I'm thinking about buying this, but I just wanted to see if there were any superior options around the same price.
