So here we have a character spawned of pure ridiculousness. Whilst playing a short homebrew Campaign in a, cyberpunk meets 80's future cop movie, city known as Speed City, a group of bounty hunters must settle their score with the rivaling gangs that plague the streets. It's a cooky and hammy campaign where each of us played a trope-y group of character homages to films of that time.
In our last session, my character, Chopstick Malone, the orc assassin decided to use his shape changing ability to disguise himself as an unassuming goblin grandma to avoid detection from a particular antagonist tied to his dark past. Meanwhile another one of our characters was using their ability to entrance the antagonist so that they could only interact with their character, aka Nyra Thorne. They did this to create a distraction so the rest of the group could sneak into the cyber dentist's office and ambush the leader of the Fortuna Royale gang while she was getting a cyber root canal.
...The following events transpired as a direct result of my poor listening skills and understanding of the game I have been playing every Saturday for nearly a year...
So I thought Nyra was trying to distract and obtain Intel from the body guard. I had no idea their casted ability entranced the target so they could only interact with the caster. So when I thought the conversation was going nowhere or verging on failure, I decided to take action. Having already turned into Grandma Choppy I walk over, and proceed to introduce myself word for word like Nyra did... Only in an old lady voice. Meanwhile the GM is informing me that I could not, in fact, do that since the body guard was currently entranced... SO I decided to pivot, and said "aight, then Grandma Choppy is gonna hit the griddy and break ankles in the middle of the lobby" I then sent a gif of a grandma C-Walking and started ad-libbing to the gif while the conversation continued.
This chain of events caused my group to lose all concentration and bust out laughing so hard that I had to immortalize Grandma Choppy in my latest doodle.
