Urine Sediment vs Bacteria
Hi all, I’m a lab tech in a vet lab ( so yes animal samples above, I’m sorry) without proper med lab training( I did work in a speciality vet clinic path lab for a few years under some professional MLT/ MLS though). I’m just curious how yall go about differentiating urine sediment and bacteria. I typically go off of the clustering behavior, but I was hoping for some more tips and tricks. The second photo is an ear cytology actually, I didn’t have a bacteria urine pic, I’m just using it as an example of cocci vs sediment clumping. Anyway, thank you in advance for any advice!! <3
