Shino Teaches about the Konoha Government… Run Entirely by his Former Classmates
Shino walked up to the board and drew a circle labeled “hokage.” It was still his first year as a teacher, but his insects remained a quiet comfort.
“Today I will be teaching you all about the Konoha government. First, the hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, my former classmate.”
Most of the class smiled. Everyone knew Naruto. Shino drew a line to another circle.
“Second, the hokage’s advisor, Nara Shikamaru, my former classmate.”
Some of the class started chuckling. Another line was drawn.
“Third, the head of the sensory division, Yamanaka Ino… my former classmate.”
Another line.
“Fourth, the head of the hospital… Haruno Sakura, my former classmate.”
By this point, the class was openly laughing. Shino drew another line to even more circles.
“Then we have the chief of police… Inuzuka Kiba, my former classmate.”
A line was drawn to a group labeled “council.”
“Then, we have the clan heads. There are the aforementioned Ino, Kiba, and Shikamaru…”
At this some of the class said together with Shino.
“My former classmates.”
“Akimichi Choji…”
More joined in.
“My former classmate.”
“Hyuga Hinata…”
Everyone spoke with him.
“My former classmate.”
“Now class, are there any questions?”
The top kunoichi of the year spoke up.
“Sensei, how did you all get so important?”
Shino gave a rare smile.
“Many of us were clan heirs, but it was Naruto. Why? Because he inspired us to better.”
In the coming years, it became a running joke; Shino knows everyone important, and the only time he gets excited is his lesson on his close friends… and former classmates.
Note: if I recall correctly, Kiba, Choji, and Hinata aren’t actually the clan heads, it’s just funnier to me this way.
