It’s been about 2 weeks and it’s very patchy looking. Am I done for or will I ever get a beard?

I’m trying to grow my beard out. It’s been a week already. One side grows a little normal, but the other side is super patchy. Am I cooked? Or will it fill in just fine after a while?
