Need some advice

Should I just shave the sides completely and go with a mustache, or a goatee?

Or just keep it as is?

Patchiness and uneven density issues.

I have tried growing it out for 12 weeks and it always ends up looking horrible. It just makes the patchiness look worse.

Just looking for some advice here, I don’t have the strongest facial features or jawline so I’m in a tough spot.

I tried trimming my beard for the first time, should I keep it as it is or just bite the bullet and shave it?

I feel that its noticeably weaker on one side, and I'm not sure if its worth keeping. Maybe if I grow it a bit more it'll even out but I'm just not sure.
I have zero experience with this so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

It’s not worth it.

(28M) It’s been my dream to grow a thick, well-groomed beard. I’ve only ever let it grow for a month before bailing out, but finally listened to all the advice about letting my beard “reach its potential”

I have full coverage of what should be a beard, but the hairs become so thin past 4/5 weeks and it looks like I’ve stuck pubes to my face.

I’m now almost at 2 months and I’m thinking of bailing out again. I think I’d look nice with a full beard, but this sh*t just ain’t it.
This longer patchy beard just emphasises the weakness and makes me look like a homeless guy.

Will I see any further improvements / progress throughout my 30s?? It seems like just my cheeks are lacking behind.

(Last 2 photos is the length I usually keep it at)

Looking for advice on current looks in general. It seems to sway to one side, and balm doesn't seem to help keep it more together.

I'm currently trying to grow it out in length. I'm going to the barber every other month or so to trim it up. Last barber visit was just under a month ago. The beard seems really dishelved, I use beard oil, balm and then brush with bore bristle brush and comb. Am I thinking to critically, or is it too messy. If so, how do i keep it more put together, do I just need to use more balm?

Does the mustache looks bad on me?

So, usually a tend to have a full beard but I decided to take it out and leave a mustache. Is it bad? Should I take it all out? Or just trim the mustache a bit?

19m first time letting it grow

I’ve not shaved in nearing 1 month now, is it worth keeping? If so keep it growing for longer or try a stubble, goatee etc…? Yes, my skin looks rough I visit a dermatologist and It’s a work in progress.

Should I keep growing my beard?

I'm trying to grow a full beard. I recently trimmed the sides but left the mustache and chin a bit longer. Should I keep growing it, or would a shorter style suit me better? Any advice is appreciated

Sudden growth of “mutant” hairs?

Hi There!

So i recently started noticing something odd about my facial hair, in the sense that these “mutant” hairs started cropping up.

The photo doesnt come close to doing it justice though. Normally i have a mixture of blonde, brown, ginger and even white hairs (jokingly referring to it as my magic gumball beard), but over the past year or so i have these weird uber hairs.

Some time ago i noticed just the one, dismissing it as maybe one old hair growing back funky, but they seem to by cropping up a lot more. They are pitch black, about double the thickness, rigid and super tough. (Again, picture comes nowhere near close to doing it justice)

I know for a fact i didnt have this before due to mild trichotyllomania (ocd), so it got me wondering. Is this just one of those weird things that your body decides to do as you get older because ???, or could this be a sign of something health related? (Vitamin deficiency, poor sleep or something i dunno.)

I couldnt find anything online so curious to hear if anyone else has any similar experiences.

Thanks in advance!

Am I in neckbeard territory? 21yo

Good to grow out more or should I keep it shorter? Don't have much growth on my chin/soul patch yet and mustache is blondish so not super visible unfortunately.
