26/M Europe - In search of sincere and deep connection
I've been getting back on track with life for sometime, it has been a steady curve with fall downs, such times leave me feeling more down with no source of pride or joy, It's in moments like these that the silence of my own company becomes deafening, and the desire for a connection, a confidant, feels more pressing than ever.
A bit about me - I'm a 26 year old guy navigating the ups and downs of life, in Italy. I've always been someone who values deep, meaningful conversations, someone who finds solace in the quiet moments. But, it's also in those quiet moments that the weight of loneliness can feel the heaviest.
I'm a full-time student, part-time worker and all day in cloud of my thoughts which does keep me busy, but I've always believed in making time for what's important. Outside of my studies, you can find me:
- Getting lost in the world of books. I'm an avid reader, with a love for anything from classic literature to contemporary non-fiction. Sharing book recommendations or even just talking about our latest reads would be a dream.
- Exploring the great outdoors. There's something about nature that just grounds me. Whether it's a simple walk in the park by pond or a spontaneous car drive.
- Diving into movies and series. I have a soft spot for existential crisis movies that align with reality, but I'm always up for a good drama, horror or thriller. Maybe we could share our must-watch lists?
- Sports, Video games and gym but for now I feel too bad about doing anything other than focusing on my failures from my exam.
Physically, I'm of slim build, with short dark hair and some times glasses that I like to think add a touch of scholarly charm. I'm about 183 cm, with a style that's decent. I'm not one to turn heads, but I believe in the importance of being presentable.
What I'm looking for is simple, yet seems so hard to find - someone within a similar age range (±5 years), ideally in the EU for time zone compatibility. Distance isn't a deal-breaker, but being able to share moments without worrying about a significant time difference would be ideal.
More than anything, I value honesty, empathy, and the willingness to build something meaningful. If you're someone who values deep, thoughtful conversations and doesn't mind the occasional venting session about life's trials and tribulations, then I think we might just get along.
