Someone stole my sort-of-limited Airport Staff Valentine's Brelock from my luggage on my return flight..
For a bit of context, I work at the Athens International Airport as it suggests. On Valentine's day, they gave us these lil keychains/brelocks. I've worked for about a year there, and I've seen other colleagues wear different kind of these keychains on their backpacks, but this was my first one and I was very happy with it, even tho the message was a lil cheesy.
I put it on my luggage cuz i thought what better place to put it right? Right?... But as i dont travel often or think of how mean people can be, I was naive. Too naive. I flew to Portugal to see my long-distance bf with it and it was fine. Intact. Like brand new. I return back home from vacations. I see my luggage come out from the conveyor belt aaaanddd! Its... Ripped out?! Like... They didnt even try taking the whole thing! Why..! The audacity. And of course no one took me seriously for it. I assume a ground handling staff stole it. Yes. Probably from my airport cuz come on, they didnt stole it when I first flew!
Now only way I can get one is maybe if I beg one of my colleagues for theirs.
Whoever got it... Count your days... And hope nobody kisses you before flight, like, ever! Hmph-
EDIT: Alrighty guys, it seems 99% agree this was in fact, not taken but more likely snatched off as it transported in the machine or something. I'll choose to believe this narrative! Thanks for making me feel a little better about it at least, and yes it can be replaced as most things nowadays!
