240hz vs 360hz
I’m currently using a 27” 1440p IPS 165Hz monitor and looking to upgrade. I recently got back into CS and I’m around 1800 FACEIT rating. I play 4:3 stretched, and one thing I’ve noticed is that holding angles feels difficult — against fast peeks, I often feel like I have to prefire rather than react.
I don’t really want to go full Zowie since I also play AAA games occasionally (RDR2, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, etc.), so I’m leaning toward OLED.
Right now I’m deciding between the MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24 and the ASUS XG27ACDNG. From what I understand, the main difference is basically 240Hz vs 360Hz.
I’ve heard a lot of people say 360Hz is overkill and not really worth it, but in my country the price difference is only around $150, which makes me consider it more seriously.
For context, I get around ~300 FPS in CS2.
For people who’ve actually used both 240Hz and 360Hz OLEDs (especially in CS2/FACEIT), is the difference noticeable enough to justify the extra cost? Or would 240Hz OLED already feel like a massive jump coming from 165Hz IPS?
