I’m starting to believe…

Dude comes in to August with a great ‘stache and 2 career home runs, and he hits a couple of dingers and I’m appreciative of the bench really doing anything at all. I truly haven’t expected much from him to this point, but at what point with 7 home runs in just 31 at bats, it’s not feeling so much like a fluke and similar to Durbin earlier in the year, he simply figured something out and uped his game. If he keeps this up, how crazy would it be if Mickey Fucking Gasper is the best hitter in baseball going into the playoffs😂

What happened to Ellaria Sand?

I don’t know if this has been covered before, but what happened to Ellaria Sand?

The last time we see her she’s being told she’s going to be forced to stay alive in the dungeons of the Red Keep. In theory, the closest thing in Kings Landing to an actual bomb bunker, and therefore a higher likelihood of survive Danys burning.

The actor who played the Dornish representative at Brans election said he played the character as a younger brother of Doran and Oberyn. Even if she survived the burning I wonder if the Dornish leadership would still want her dead considering her assassination coup.

Replacements for Book characters

Obviously everybody is talking about how Rhaenas character in the show is going to replace Nettles storyline considering she claimed Sheepstealer.

One other existing show character I have noticed them preparing to assume the role of a different book character is Gwayne Hightower moving towards becoming Hobert Hightower (book Hobert not the Head of House Hightower from season 1)

Without getting into obvious spoilers, I think Gwayne’s conversation with Cole reporting the SA he witnessed, and his inability to either stop it or punish it, is foreshadowing for the chaos he will be unable to stop later on. And considering he is not currently in Kings Landing or a commander in the City Watch, I think it is reasonable to assume he will not die the same way he did in the books. If it is, I think it actually combines 2 relatively lackluster characters into 1 with a genuinely interesting arch.
