Second run at SATC and I realize how much I hate Miranda
I had watched SATC the first time a couple of years ago and I was not very fond of Miranda especially after she scared Mr Big into not marrying Carrie.
But over the last couple of years, I have been working on being kind to myself and not letting self doubt creep in - internally, via work, via friends, via family, etc. And in the very first season, I just realized how Miranda has been a utter bitch to the entire group. If any of them is talking about something good, she just has to say something so negative that it totally projects it on to the other person (especially poor Charlotte). Miranda is the most negative person in the group who obviously has fucked up all the good relationships she could have been in but also just blatantly makes it a point to sabotage the optimism of others as well.
A therapist usually points out contradicting opinions to us to ensure we have a full picture of the entire situation and are not having tunnel vision. While Miranda's words can be perceived similarly, they definitely aren't. She has so much bias and intends to put down others. Well she is suffering and she just wants the others to suffer along with her. That's her relief.
In S2E5 she choked on some food -> I sincerely hoped that she had choked all the way through (lol). And to top it all off, she is not even pretty. She looks like a man with that haircut, has a snobby attitude towards men and always makes snarky remarks to genuinely nice people (such as Skipper). She is the worst.
