How Do I Add To This Tattoo?
Three years ago I got this done as my first tattoo and I've never been 100% happy with the design. As this was my first I didn't know how to ask for what I wanted and the artist didn't seem very interested in communicating with me. But since I waited a year for this and I liked their portfolio I decided to trust them. Overall, it's not a bad tattoo and as an experience I learned a lot.
My question really boils down to how do I add to this tattoo to make it better? I've been thinking about getting a sleeve to blend it into or would it be more beneficial to cover it up? I've heard that can be difficult to do in some cases and could end up making it muddier and worse. Or just laser it off and start again? That's probably the very last option though.
I would like to ask for suggestions for themes or styles to build off this tattoo. I still like the concept of spooky but not full blown Halloween. I like ghosts, bats, cryptids, Yokai, and stuff with that vibe. Also, I was thinking of going with something with more bold colours to draw attention away from it; more neotrad or even Japanese traditional. I will take any and all ideas, concepts, and suggestions.
