How much does walking actually help?

Hi everyone, i am 19F, 212 pounds, 5’2. I began at 225, so im down 12 lbs in a month! I have been eating in a deficit, and I recently bought a treadmill to better keep up with my steps. For my deficit, I’ve been prioritizing low carb, high protein (struggled with that a bit) and around 1300-1700 calories per day. I usually land around 1400.

So my question is, how much does walking actually help in weight loss? I usually walk around 10k 3x a week, and only around 5k the rest of the time. My goal is to walk 10k every single day consistently. My plan is to get to get to around 180 by the end of July. Do you think this treadmill could make that happen if I stay consistent? Thanks! xx
