Am I being stingy
I’m a teenager and whenever me and my friends hang out, it’s usually my car and our driver. I really have no problem with that since me and my family have the capability. However, I feel that sometimes they take it for granted. For example, whenever we’re making plans, they immediately assume that I’m going to be the ride. My parents are getting mad and telling me that why won’t my friends be the ride this time since they all have their own cars and one of my friends does have a driver. I’ve thought about it and it really frustrates me because don’t they even think about the gas prices and the pay that we give the driver? For context, our driver isn’t really a personal driver but a driver for my dad and his work so it sometimes messes up my dad’s work schedule whenever I use the driver. What’s really annoying is that they never volunteer to be the ride, even when we have no driver and car which means the hangout is cancelled. I also can’t ask them to pay for the fares and all because in our culture, it’s rude. I also can’t confront them because I’m scared of confrontation. In our country, teenagers aren’t allowed to driver and there’s also no taxi in our area. All the places they want to go to aren’t a walking distance.
