AITAH for telling my mom to not take my pokémon cards out of my binder
Hey everyone so a little context is that I literally just got back today from moving out of my dorm and I was telling my mom how I'm planning on selling my pokémon cards so I can go see this concert I really want to see
So as I'm walking out of my room she's like let me see your pokémon so I go back in there grab my binder and she insists on taking them out of my binder and I told her no please don't do that and she just kept insisting it's okay it's only for a picture and I'm like no please don't do that You have a long nails you might scratch my cards and that's going to damage the value I had to tell her 15 times before she literally screamed at me and threw my cards at the floor causing my most expensive card in this binder to get damaged And then she called me names and I told her what is wrong with you You just damaged my card she then proceeds to call me every single curse word in the book before saying well you're being a bitch so you deserved it (mind you whenever I'm home she always finds an issue to complain about me for) And then I'm getting angry so then she's like cussing me out and then my dad starts to scream at us because he's watching his show and then I'm like she just damaged my most expensive card and then my mom's like You're a fucking liar and being a fucking bitch. And as I'm typing this she literally just slammed the door and stormed off all because I told her not to pretty much disrespect my things
Before people ask
The card was partially sticking out of the binder when she chucked it and it landed on it two separate times causing damage to the corners which if anyone knows anything about collecting you know that if I'm going to get that graded it's going to knock it down to a PSA 8 from a PSA 10
yes my mom has a history of just acting like a nutcase for literally no reason
No I did not even give her permission in the first place to take cards out of my binder let alone like touch them and get her hands all over it
Yes she knows that I'm trying to sell them and go to my concert which is the whole reason why I'm selling them in the first place
No I did not do anything prior to tick her off other than purely existing
Yes I am a legal adult and she still thinks she can control me
No I did not do anything prior to upset her other than make the dog bark when I came back from college because she didn't recognize me so she decided to bark at me
Unfortunately moving out is not an option right now and neither is no contact or restraining order as they are housing me until I go back to college (getting a job is hard for me because of certain disabilities and medical conditions)
