When do I start making enough money to live?

I live in the southeastern US so I’m already at a disadvantage bc low pay and no unions. I’ve been a nurse for almost 5 years and I make $42.22 base. $47.22 Because I do float pool but I still can’t afford to live on my own. I’m really discouraged bc I’m going through a divorce and idk how I’m gonna leave my parents house now.

My ex husband would hide his laugh if I made a funny joke

Let me start by saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone is in their own way. He never held my hand in public. I look uncomfortably young and he said it made him look like a pedophile. If I made a funny joke, he’d turn his head so I wouldn’t see that he was laughing. He refused to go out anywhere really. Anyways, I left him and now I have a bf who always says “you’re so pretty and funny.” 😁
