Refurbished 1955 oak floor
Had originally planned on replacing carpet. Decided to go back to original floor.
1955 house, original floor, shellac finish. Lots of damage to said finish.
Spot-sanded it bare where needed. Refinished with 2-3 coats of tinted amber shellac (varying on need, to get the color about right), and top coated with clear shellac.
We're happy with it.
