Hello! For this post you may need context. I started getting into hellenic polytheism about a year ago when I was learning religions and discovering myself. And the first time I've ever prayed to the Gods was when I was in a desperate, soul-crushing aadness and thats how I began to worship them.

Now I've began studying hinduism and buddhism and It's really resonated with me and I was wondering whether I could syncretize or integrate my deities and use those traditions as my theological framework for how I understand the Gods. I am aware of how things worked in traditional hellenic polytheism but it's never resonated with me and I wanted to bring in some of my deities into this framework. Would it be okay for the Gods? Do they prefer the traditional route? Now I'm aware most people CANNOT talk to the Gods directly but from an opinion perspective (assuming a good chunk of you are hellenic polytheists longer than I am) I'm asking whether it be okay to integrate these deities into this framework and to what extent am I allowed to?

I understand that different cultures have different perspectives on the divine but I find that hinduism has the best (for me) framework for how we should approach the Gods and how to view the Gods. I've personally felt more distant from them the more I learned about hinduism and I don't really know if that's my sign to just abandon the Gods and move on, which would really suck as I really tried my best for them and I feel safe with this certain God.
