UCI vs UCSD for Psych Transfer — Need Advice
Hey everyone, I'm a psych major transfer student and I'm seriously torn between UCI and UCSD. Would love to hear from people who have experience with either school.
Quick breakdown about my acceptance:
UCI - accepted into Psychology BA
UCSD - accepted into Psychology BA/BS (Earl Warren College)
I'm planning on applying to grad school eventually, so GPA matters a lot to me. I've heard UCSD is significantly more competitive/grade-deflated compared to UCI, which is making me nervous. The last thing I want is to tank my GPA and hurt my chances at grad school when I could've thrived somewhere else.
How is the social scene at both?
For those who went to either school for psych specifically, how were the professors, research opportunities, and overall department vibe? And for UCSD students, is the grade deflation as brutal as people say for psych, or is that more of a STEM thing?
Really struggling with this one. And I have to decide soon. Any insight helps!
