Hi all, I'm a university student who will be spending the summer in Glasgow and I'm looking for some recommendations for weekend trips to other parts of Scotland/the UK. I'm already planning to go to Dublin and Edinburgh but I'd love a few more suggestions for places you can reach with public transportation and that have cheap hostels or other accommodations since I'm on a student budget. I'm especially interested in seeing the highlands and the Isle of Skye, but I'm not sure how easy it will be to get to either.
