Anyone have any knowledge or know if this machine is good? From what I understand it has metal parts and is considered a workhorse but I want to hear from someone who uses a machine like this personally.
She said she would take 80 and has a bag of feet and bobbins to go with it.
I have a singer quantum stylist. I have had this machine for 4 years now. 2 years ago, randomly my machine started making a grating noise and the needle would struggle to go up and down out of nowhere in the middle of a project. The whole machine would shake. This typically starts at the end of the stitch when the machine itself is raising the needle at the end when I let up on the pedal. This then progresses until it does it constantly and the machine is unusable. Nothing easy I try fixes it. I have to take my entire machine apart to the wires and mess with it until magically it stops happening for maybe a month and then it randomly starts again. I am not sure what I'm doing to solve the problem so I do not know how to fix it, it takes me 2 hours each time to disassemble, mess with it and put it back together. I am ready to throw this thing out the window.
Please, can someone help me? I will be eternally grateful if someone can help me fix this thing for good. I'm in the middle of making a baby quilt and I need my machine to work! This will be the 5th time I've had to take the entire thing apart.
