My 5m 1 wk old seems to be ready to transition to two naps a day, but I’m worried it’s too early. She usually will wake around between 9:30-10:30 am, and then usually follows a schedule of 2.5/2.5/3, and will go to bed around 10:30-11:30 pm. She usually sleeps 2 hours for her first nap, and I almost always have to wake her up from this or she’ll keep going. Then for her second nap she’s also been sleeping longer lately, anywhere from 1 - 2 hrs. It’s really hard to squeeze in the last nap and we always have to cap it for no longer than 30 minutes, but it just happens so late and she usually fights it so bedtime is super late. She usually sleeps around 10 hours at night with one wake up to feed. She’s had a couple of days where she’s only had two naps and her night sleep seemed to be better and longer than with her normal 3 nap days. I just hate capping all of her naps, especially the second and last because if I want her to go to bed at a decent time I have to wake her up from them. Any other parents cut the last nap this early and how did it go??
