No car?

Hi all, it
Is a dream of mine to visit ever national park (been to 4 so far🤣) In the middle of August, my sister will be having her bachelorette trip in Whitefish. I will be flying all the way from Texas and recently had some friends tell me that even one day in the park is worth it, so I think I might modify my flight and spend a few extra days going to explore GNP. (Plus the flight over was already super expensive just for one wknd lol)

The caveat is that since I’m flying, I will not have a car. I am also 22, so I cannot rent one. I would love to backpack and camp for between 1-4 nights there. My questions are this:

  1. Is it feasible to get in/ around the park without a vehicle? If so, what are the logistics & do I need to make reservations?
  2. Same for campgrounds— will I need to look at reservations now?
  3. How safe have you solo travelers felt in the park while backpacking (specifically females)
  4. What are the absolute MUST SEE/ DO trails if I do go??

Thank you!

Best backpack?

Hi all! I am newer to the world of backpacking! I’m looking for recommendations on the best backpack for the Camino, but also versatile & could be used for other trips! For reference, I’m 5’8, 125 lbs, 23F so something that works on a leaner frame😅
