I am lucky to say, this is my second childhood Clara. I got her at a bootsale, a long time ago (20 years give or take). My first Clara was new out the box with the stand and all whom I still have, complete (unsure on stand). This ones left foot has always been loose and she has really messy hair but I love her no less (she's actually my favourite but don't tell my original lol).

I made an ID post about a year ago and a kind soul did ID the dress but I deleted that post without thinking (I did plan to keep it up just in case others needed help with IDing the dress but I did a wipe and forgot about said plan) and I would like to ask again; does anyone recognises the dress? Specifically the collection name. Pretty please and thank you, I promise not to delete this time! 💜

Story time!

When I was a little girl I used to frequent bootsales (flea markets) with my Nan. On a specific day I remember coming to this table and there was Barbies in a box on the floor, they were all fully complete but one stood out to me because of her beautiful dress. I picked up this beautiful Barbie and I've kinda loved her since. My favourite thing about her was her dress, it is purple, my favourite colour and her jewellery. Her hair was done in a bun I believe and she had dangling earrings, and a sparkly ring. Of course, those have gone missing thanks to little me (I know I cringe even typing this but kids are kids lol). Unsure if she had a necklace but it's possible. It's been about 20 years and thanks to someone (unsure if they're in here and I don't want to @ them but if they are here, you know who you are and thank you) I think I finally found out who my oldest Barbie in my collection is.

I used Op's picture of her Holiday Barbie and I found this. The earrings are kinda how I remember them, it's between these --

Or these.

This lead me onto who the Barbie is; Dance N' Twirl Barbie. This makes sense to me because her head is kinda loose? I can pose it a certain way and it stays but more often than not the head wants to lie back at the smallest touch. This makes sense because original Dance N' Twirl Barbie came with a remote control stand that you can make her twirl/dance. Having a loose head would make her long hair twirl a lot better as well as her original* dress. This is my theory anyway, I am not completely 100% on it (maybe 90%?). Either way, It's all a very faint memory now. I'm from England and it seems hard to find vintage jewellery for Barbie let alone remakes of said jewellery so I decided to try and remake them myself with what I have.

And here is the result! I am soooo happy with the result and I have fallen in love with her all over again! I also put some hair ties that I used to wear as a little girl in her hair because they were sitting around doing nothing and I think they suit her very well.

My only other issue is; does anyone recognise the dress? I have seen maybe two ebay listings (well... maybe just one and it was the same listing lol) of it but they were old and I can no longer go into them to check the description but I do assume it is an old or vintage Barbie dress.

The dress has lace, sequins, beads inside those sequins, tulle, and a bow. The bow is kinda being bent because of the tulle I may need to modify the tulle to sit straight with a little stitch or something but the bow has a little embelishment of sequins and beads to match the lace part. Very detailed. I also need to find a way to secure said bead and sequins as you can tell some are loose and I don't want to lose any at all.

Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance 💜
