Has anyone on here started as Crew, worked as a Mate, then moved on to the Office? Specifically Monrovia.

Pros and Cons? Pay, growth opportunities, schedule, etc.

As a Mate, the chances of becoming captain are statistically slim. So is moving on to the office worth it in the long run financially? I don’t want to call it less competition, but Mates who don’t make captain just remain mates. Are options abound as far as making NEAR captain salary as an office employee.
