Termites - Pest Control company proposal

This single family home in Charlotte, North Carolina has been diagnosed with termite infestation. There seems to be some wood damage because of rain water intrusion. The home was built in 1997. It has a walk-in crawl space and cinder block foundation walls. The only slab is in the garage.

We are going to hire a professional pest control company for this work and want to make sure it is done right without any overselling.

We have received a quote from one company which seems like boilerplate as it mentions things that don't match our house. Please check it out and share your thoughts on a plan of action.

Do we need to fix the moisture intrusion and wood damage repaired before we bring them in for treatment?

This is their scope of work.

·   Includes a Perimeter Plus soil treatment to exterior structure(s). Provides a continuous treated zone around structure(s) treated.

·   Chemical Used – “Termidor” HP II

·   Volume Application of 2 gallons of 0.125% finished dilution per 10 linear feet by 1 ft. depth.

·   Hydraulic trenching to 12 inches deep, 2 gallons per every 10 linear ft.

·   Drill adjacent slabs (if applicable) 12” apart and plug all holes with cement compound.

There are no slabs other than the garage floor. Are they going to core holes through the garage floor every 12" apart?

·   Interior Treatment of ground floor units if necessary and includes treating around hot water heater.

·   There is no water heater on the ground floor. It is in the attic.

·   Drill exterior foundation wall 12” apart (Complete Structure).
