CEX branded Apple Watch Cable not great
I was searching for reviews the other day for off-brand Apple Watch cables and didn’t see many results - so I wanted to drop this in here in case anybody else is researching. Also, this is predominantly relevant to people who live in the UK.
I bought the CEX branded Apple Watch Cable, and I must say it isn’t fantastic. My original Apple branded cable charges my watch from 0 to 100% in about 30-40 minutes, whereas across 3 hours the CEX cable barely gets to about 50%. I expected it to be a bit slower as it obviously wasn’t official, but 6 hours to fully charge is insane to me.
For the sake of about £5, I would definitely recommend for others to get the refurbished Apple Cable rather than the CEX one.
CEX cable was £8, secondhand Apple one was £15.
£15 is more than I really want to be spending on cables (£29 for a brand new one even less), but the charging speed on the off brand one I think is so awful.
I hope this helps others looking to save a bit of money.
Does anybody else have alternative cable recommendations - or is Apple the way to go for AW chargers?
