Does anyone know why this game isn't available at CEX yet? It's on the Ireland site but not the UK one.

I received a scam text from a fake DPD saying my package was not delivered, blatant scam but they had my number and knew the day of the delivery, my number and what company was delivering. It may be a coincidence but I just want yo make sure.

So i bought a laptop from CeX, it was advertised to have 24gb of ram and 512gb of storage, and it arrived with 8gb of ram and 240gb of storage, can I instead of returning this ask for them to upgrade it or something? thats twice ive posted here in the same month over CeX ripping me off, lmao.

I ordered 3 games on 17th may, 1 separate and that one has been dispatched, the other 2 havent is this normal to take this long?

In the web page is says that the console MUST have a controller with it. I just sent an email to Cex, but will it be any useful? I would like to have the controller for the console i already paid for without buying a sepparate one.

Should i send it back? Super wierd why would someone mark it like that

I've never sold to CEX, and there's only two videogames coming in the future that I'm looking forward to playing, 007 First Light, and GTA6.

I have games to sell that are worth €180 in cash, or €237 in vouchers. I imagine I'll play 007 over two days and sell it to CEX though.

How fast do you get vouchers or cash when you drop them off? When might those two games become available in CEX? A week? A month? Should I just take the cash and buy them other ways?

Ordered dragonball xenoverse 2 collectors edition and arrived today with no box just all the bits wrapped up separately and no box!

Hi, I’ve just had my MagSafe charger rejected for a drop and go because apparently it’s linked to my iCloud account?? How is that even possible? It’s just a charger, how can it be linked to my iCloud just by charging my phone?

Apologies if this has been asked before but what is the overall experience from buying a rare out of print Steelbook from CeX? Or just buying items that are more likely to show wear and tear?

For reference, in the UK the item has 3 stock, all from different stores. Nearest store is 2 and half hours away. So visiting wouldn’t be possible.

Any advice or experience would be great. Blu rays don’t fall under the graded system like technology and I’m aware I can return within 14 days!

So I ordered a Kobo Libra 2 Grade A - £220.

They sent me a Kobo Libra Colour (£210).

I initially wanted to send it back and get the right item, but now they don't have any Libra 2 Grade A's listed, which I guess is understandable as it's an older product. Clearly the one I got was a mistake.

So rather than swap it for a Grade B Libra 2, I thought OK, I'll just keep the Colour. I asked if I could do so and get a credit for the difference in price. They refused and told me I had to return it, otherwise the warranty wouldn't cover it.

Rather than go through this hassle, I though what if I take it to a store - normally they will process a refund there and then after checking that the item I'm returning is the one sent out. And could I then buy that item back in a new transaction?

Any store workers able to comment on whether or not I could do this?

Does the portable ssds come with a cable and if so, is it the right cable that supports the advertised speeds or is it a generic cable? samsung t9 Portable SSD

Wanna know what to expect before I haul it to my high street

Dropped off my phone (drop & go order) but haven't received email to confirm drop off, the guy said it would be tested tomorrow. Shouldn't I receive an automatic email after it's logged on their computer?

Traded in a few things, including a steelbook, to my local Cex, and I say to the employee that the Jcard with the barcode is inside the steelbook folded up. Even pointed to it. She looks over the J card and then proceeds to use the laptop instead to search for the item. When I look at the receipt to sign, she's put it down as a regular release and not the steelbook edition.

I point this out and it's changed for the proper amount, but are employees told not to accept separated j cards or was this a one off?

I got an XBox one from CEX a couple of years ago. it wasnt working suddenly after not being used for 3 months. I took it to our local CEX and they said they can't do anyyhing because the warranty seal is coming off. I told them that xbox has been sitting in one corner of the house so the only way it's come off is if the glue they used dried up from the heat. Anyway, dejected,

ETA: okay it might not have been a 5-yr warranty thing. But my question about whether their warranty a scam still stands.

B Grade Samsung monitor comes in and the screen is cracked and faulty. Should I be asking for a complete replacement or a full refund?

I have some older games which have no case, I grabbed them on sale from GAME when it was closing its physical stores, so they had a whole box of games for literally less than 50 pence.

Fast forward a few years and I'm clearing out these items, I know from previous experience CEX will not accept a game without a case and a cover.

So can I create the cover from the internet and add on the badge which says Cover Reprinted like they have in the top left corner of their cover reprinted games? I am very good with photoshop and know how to make one the exact size to fit some empty cases, I want to know can I add cover reprinted and sell it back to them?

Assume the case matches everything else like PEGI rating, which the disc are PAL/PEGI and the ISBN etc. But it's just reprinted paper.

I have purchased reprinted covers a few time from them unbeknownst.

Is this fine to do or is this something I need to mention to the store to see if they accept the items.

For reference I want to sell a few games which are at most £7 in trade in credit, about £12 for the lot of them. The games are popular, but old as in last gen titles, PS4 xbox one.

It would be a shame to just throw away the discs.
