Is Outlander historically accurate or does the show contain historic errors that fans overlook?
I can name one historical inaccuracy. I just watched Episode One of Series Seven. In the timeline of Outlander this is set around the 1770s. In one scene I spotted a crate of apples. The variety of apple was a Granny Smith. This is an error for a few reasons. The Granny Smith apple did not appear until 1868. They originated in a place called Eastwood, New South Wales, Australia
