I struggle.

I really want intermittent fasting to work for me because I like the simplicity of it and I do feel better when I’m not constantly snacking all day.

The problem is I genuinely struggle with hunger, especially in the evenings or on days where I’m bored/stressed/tired. I can stick to it for a few days and then suddenly I’m absolutely starving and end up overeating.

For people who successfully made IF part of their lifestyle:

  • Did the hunger eventually calm down?
  • Did you ease into it slowly or go straight into a fasting window?
  • What helped most with cravings and evening hunger?
  • Are some people just not suited to fasting?

I’m not trying to become ultra strict or anything; just trying to build something sustainable that helps with weight loss and structure as I really want to lose weight.

What are the current trends in music?

Anyone else find it way harder to spot music trends now compared to pre-internet/social media days?

Back then it felt like there were clear movements or eras happening in real time; grunge, britpop, nu metal, indie sleaze, EDM boom, etc. Even if you weren’t into them, you knew what “the thing” was.

Now everything feels way more fragmented and algorithm-driven. One person’s entire music world can be completely different from someone else’s and current hits seems to be re-threads of previous eras.

So what actually are the current trends in music right now?

Not just charts, more the overall sounds, scenes, aesthetics, production styles, artist behaviour, listener habits etc. What feels dominant at the moment and what feels like it’s dying off?

So Much (For) Stardust - Enjoying it More (and) More

When this album dropped I enjoyed it, but never returned to it much.

I loved the opening and closing track and picked bits and pieces in between. Maybe I thought I had kind of outgrew FoB after MANIA, and will just return to the classics now and again.

It just came upon me to re-listen and wow I have missed out these last few years. It's actually really really good 😂

Probably their best post-hiatus album, although I do have a soft spot for AB/AP.

I'd rank post-hiatus:

Stardust,

AB/AP

SR&R

MANIA (there are actually a few tracks on this I really like)

Hopefully they keep this going 🤞

I'm sure this has been questioned, asked, addressed though the decades, but Paul does a (semi-Indian?) accent on the line 'grandchildren on your knee'.

Anybody know why?

edit: Definitely more Scottish than Indian. Please forgive me on that one! 😂
