For the third time in my life I've had a cluster of weird Fall Out Boy dreams. These one's are more of stress nightmares with Pete Wentz as the main antagonist. I encourage amateur and inaccurate psychoanalysis below.

First one: I dreamed that my friend was in the witness protection program, and it was my job to see if there was any current information about her available online. I google her name and I click on a link. It's a bunch of creeper shots showing her coming in and out of her secret bunker. "Who would do this to her" I think, then a look up at the url, petewentz.com. I was so shocked and angry I woke up sweating and shaking.

Second one (about ten days later): It starts as a reoccurring dream I often have, where my friends and I are in a huge mansion and I'm trying to get out but I keep getting sicker so I can't move, and none of my friends believe me that we have to leave. This time there was an unexpected twist, one friend says "but it's my anniversary" then a very 2006 looking Pete Wentz comes down to stairs with a bunch of surreal looking balloons. He sees me, his expression turns angry, he starts running, I wake up. In real life I ground my teeth so hard I broke a tooth and now I have to spend $300 about it.

Recently I gave the original Beat It a go, since I hadn’t heard it before (yes. I know. I'm young, that's all). It was... very different. It's some kind of disco ballad? I also noticed the tempo was slower. I didn't like it too much. I like my FOB Beat It wayyy better. The guitar riff at the beginning literally sends chills down my spine every time. Makes me feel as if I'm diving into a winning fight. I wish they would release a deluxe vinyl version of Folie that includes this gem. Anyone else feel the same way?

Pete thrives on the angsty, angry. Patrick's there just putting smiles on anything he can.

Growing up is learning to put smiles on the things I can, which is harder tbh.
