Project Linus Alachua Chapter
Hi everyone! I'm a student at UF and I love quilting. I've been considering starting a Project Linus chapter for a while, as we don't have one in Alachua County.
Project Linus is a great cause that "provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need". If you knit, sew, crochet, or are generally crafty, would you be interested in participating?
They accept all kinds of blankets, including fleece tie blankets (like these: https://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/blog/2011/12/no-sew-fleece-tie-blanket-tutorial.html) which are super easy to make.
If enough people are interested I will plan to make another post and possibly gather contact info!
