Are your ASAP/ACE advisors this strict too?

Random question for everyone: are your advisors this strict too?
Mine wants me to know basically everything about my classes, grades, assignments, exams, and have a specific plan for how I’m going to handle everything. I understand they’re trying to help me stay on track, but sometimes it feels like a lot having to explain every little thing in detail during every meeting.
How are your advisors? Are they similar, or is mine just particularly strict?

He is very direct and focused on making sure you stay on track to graduate. He knows the requirements well and will push you to figure things out instead of guessing. If you come prepared with your grades, deadlines, and plan, the meeting goes smoothly and you can get useful guidance.

That said, his communication style is very blunt and can come off as harsh or condescending at times. He doesn’t really ease into conversations or build comfort, and he expects you to already have clear answers. If you’re unsure or still figuring things out, the meeting can feel stressful or rushed.

He’s big on accountability and doesn’t accept vague answers like “I think” or “I’ll probably.” You need to know your exact situation going in.

Overall:

Good for staying on track and getting straight answers, but not the most approachable or supportive in tone.
