Steering wandering, Citroen Berlingo multispace 1.6hdi 60 plate.
Hi everyone, really hoping somebody has some suggestions for a (possibly 2) steering problems.
The first is a tendency to pull to the right on acceleration, and to the left when you ease off. Tyres and tracking have been checked, suspension and bushes checked/replaced. Its ok at lower speeds but noticable as you head towards 40mph and downright uncomfortable on the motorway.
The other issue is very intermittent. Over the last 6 years, its happened about 5 times: when you are going around a bend (not sharp, maybe 45 degrees left or right) and then go to straighten up, the car continues on the initial trajectory until you over steer in the direction you want to go. So you're turning to the right, straighten up the steering wheel, continue going to the right, steer sharp left, then go left and steer back right to straighten up. (Hope that makes sense).
The steering rack and pump have been replaced in case they were the culprit, but because its so intermittent, its hard to test. ANY suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks! Please ask if you need more information or I've not explained clearly :)
