PAL - Cancellation Policy/Next Flight?
Hi,
I would like to take my family to China from Toronto and Philippine Airlines seems the cheapest for Business Class. Its actually alot cheaper.
The thing is there is only one flight a day from YYZ to Manilla, and then a flight from Manilla to China (eg. Beijing).
What happens if PAL cancels the flight - do they provide you or book you with the next available PAL flight, or literally the next available flight with any other airline?
I see that PAL is not part of Star Alliance and when I travelled with Air Canada and a flight got canceled, I was able to choose which alternative flight I wanted to go on with a Star Alliance network.
I just dont want my vacation ruined with cancelled flights that would strand me - the savings of PAL are quite substantial..about $3-4k cheaper than the "bigger" airlines.
