Name typo and PAL wants to charge you for it.

I was filling out the details on PAL website but apparently not a good idea to use Safari - idk parang sabog.

So i used MS edge instead and nag auto fill siya. Pagbook ko ng ticket tangina kulang ng isang letter name ko. Just to have it corrected they want to charge you tapos bagal pa ng CS. Its so annoying.

Any tips to make the charge free? (Well idk how much pa charge kasi bagal ng CS)

Change Seat & Aircraft

Originally chose 56A and 56B (no charge seats - window), now they changed it to 69E and 69F (center seats). Can I request to be moved to different seats for free, even though the seats left available are only paid seats?

Seattle Tacoma 8hr Layover

Hi! My return flight will be from ONT-SEA then SEA-MNL. It's an 8-hr layover in SEA.

When I arrive in SEA via PAL's partner airline Alaska Airlines, will i be able to tour for a bit in Seattle? Rllly just hoping to visit the Space Needle then go straight back to the airport.

Inflight WiFi

It is an absolute joke. Once you finally manage to connect, it is painfully slow. It feels like the bandwidth is designed for 2010 devices and demands.

Anong diskarte nyo sa group booking ng plane ticket?

We are a family of 11, 9 adults and 2 kids.

Carry-on Baggage

Is PAL also being strict with carry-on luggage nowadays like cebpac?

I just flew with cebpac a few days ago and yes super strict nila with carry-on rolling luggages. May mga nasita talaga and pinagbayad ng extra luggage (P2.5k) because hindi kasya sa metal sizer. I brought a soft shoulder travel bag na medyo makapal around 24-25cm ang depth pero hindi naman pinansin.

I’ll be flying again around november and I specifically chose PAL just because of this. I’ll be bringing a rolling luggage sana which I already used 2x before sa international flight. Problem is, 24cm pala ang depth nya. All other dimensions ay pasok naman.

How long did your PAL refund take? (PAL app vs Trip.com)

Hi everyone!

I booked a Philippine Airlines (PAL) ticket directly through the PAL app, while my friend booked through Trip.com. We booked our tickets yesterday but decided to cancel them today.

I contacted a PAL customer service agent, and she told me the refund could take 1–2 months. Is that really the usual timeline, even if the tickets were canceled just one day after booking? We both used Maribank Mastercard for the online payment.

For those who’ve been in a similar situation:
- How long did it take for your refund to be credited back to your card?
- Did you book directly with PAL or through Trip.com?
- Was there any difference in refund processing time between the two?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

24k RT ticket, but rebooking quote is 78k?? Is this normal for PAL?

So I got a 24k round trip ticket from Davao to Seoul nung freedom sale nila. Then I decided to extend the trip, so I just wanted to move my return flight a week later. Nag error sa website when I tried myself, so I contacted support. Quote nila is 78k just to change the return date. I checked one-way fare for the new date I wanted and it was only around 15kish, so I was willing to pay the fare difference plus change fees. Pero 78k?? Insaneeee. I even asked bka typo lang and 7k lang tlaga dapat kasi okay lang sakin yun, pero confirmed talaga 78k.

Anyone experienced this? Is this normal pricing or did something go wrong sa quote? What's the actual breakdown ba dapat? Kasi parang the math is not mathing!!! Sa sobrang shock ko kaya di ko na natanong sa agent yung breakdown at nag end chat na LOL

Trip.com name is correct but PAL got it wrong

Hi all,

For example, DELA CRUZ is correctly typed and displayed on all Trip.com records. But on PAL, it shows DELACRUZ. Note that this is an international flight to Vietnam.

Will this be an issue? We don't have time to go to the PAL office before the flight and no one is picking up calls on their airport landline.

Service Class Upgrade (SCU) thru Mabuhay Miles

Has anyone tried availing the SCU? I understand i have to have a flight booking first before i can claim this (i think). Was wondering what your experience was, particularly:

  • how much you paid for taxes
  • how certain the upgrade is (I heard i can only request 5 days before the flight)
  • can i upgrade from economy supersaver to business class? target flight is from MNL-LAX on a boeing 777-300 (no premium economy)
