Instax Wide 300, Instax Wide 400, and Lomo Wide Glass
Hey everyone,
A couple months ago, my trusty Wide 300 broke. An internal issue, since it simply doesn't turn on anymore. It had that issue a couple times, and I sent it back to Fuji, and they fixed it up. Then it broke again. So now I'm looking for a new Wide camera, because it's my favorite instant format to shoot!
I've been debating just getting another 300. The 400 is the new Fuji model, but the lack of even basic exposure control makes me reconsider. The jet-black version looks alright.
The Lomo Instant Glass one... attractive features certainly, but I remember buying (and sending back) a non-glass Lomo Wide a while ago. The box it came in looked like a toy-box, plastic out the wazoo, the camera itself felt like it'd collapse in on itself after a month of use. Compare that to the absolute tank that the 300 is.
I don't really wanna drop 300 clams on something that feels like a fisher price toy, even though the glass lense does seem to make amazing photos.
What are your thoughts on the dilemma? Was the Lomo I received just a monday-product?
