Why is my bagel like this?
I've been working on these since after dinner, and I really thought I was finally going to get them right... but after boiling the bagels, they turned out like this. Did I boil them for too long?

The flower-shaped pastries here are made with fresh petals. You can even see them being cooked in the process of making the flower filling.
